Gina McCabe to be sworn in early in Goldendale New Year’s Day
Gina McCabe, R-Goldendale, will be sworn in as a 14th District state representative on Jan. 1, following the resignation of Rep. Charles Ross for the remainder of his term. The public and members of the media are invited to attend the ceremony.
WHEN: Thursday, Jan. 1 at 1:00 p.m.
WHO: Gina McCabe, friends and family
WHAT: Swearing in McCabe as newest 14th District state representative
WHERE: Klickitat County courthouse, 205 S Columbus Avenue, Goldendale.
Ceremony will be on the steps of the courthouse if weather permitting, otherwise inside.
The oath of office McCabe will recite in front of friends and family, that all state lawmakers recite, follows:
“I, Gina McCabe, do hereby affirm that I will uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States of America, the Constitution and laws of the State of Washington, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge the duties of the office of a Washington State Representative to the best of my ability.”
The 2015 session is scheduled to being Jan. 12.
