Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I hope this newsletters finds you well during the holiday season. After a long and difficult election cycle, I know many have turned their attention away from government and politics to reflect more on their families and themselves. I can't say a blame them! However, this is an exciting time for our state government. The Legislature is closely divided between Republicans and Democrats, and the 2017 legislative session is just around the corner.

Many of you have contacted me the past few months to share your ideas and concerns — thank you for engaging with your state government. As lawmakers prepare to return to Olympia for the start of session on Jan. 9, I thought this would be a good time to come together and discuss ideas for 2017. On Jan. 3 and 4, I will be hosting listening tours in towns throughout the 14th District. Everyone is welcome! Here are the details:

Tuesday, Jan. 3
12 – 1 p.m.
Hegewald Center
710 SW Rock Creek Drive
Stevenson, WA 98648

5:30 – 7 p.m.
Quality Inn & Suites
808 Simcoe Drive
Goldendale, WA 98620

Wednesday, Jan. 4
5:30 – 7 p.m.
University Conference Center, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences
3200 Inspiration Drive
Yakima, WA 98901

Thank you to the Goldendale Sentinel, the Goldendale Chamber of Commerce, and the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences for sponsoring some of these events.

Together, I truly believe we can make a difference for our communities and state. I'm looking forward to seeing you at one of these events! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact my office at (360) 786-7856 or Gina.McCabe@leg.wa.gov.

Honored to serve you,
