Put extra money toward student resource officers, Rep. Gina McCabe tells KLCK

Citing surplus revenue from the recently released state revenue forecast, Rep. Gina McCabe, R-Goldendale, dismisses Democrats' desire to raise taxes with capital gains and carbon tax proposals. Instead, McCabe tells KLCK, some of the extra revenue should be used to put student resource officers in public schools as a violence-prevention measure. McCabe also introduces her legislative page, 16-year-old White Salmon High School student Gabriel Roth, who answers a few questions from host Kevin Malcolm. McCabe also shares updates on several her sponsored bills still making their way through the Legislature and reviews the Gorge-Ous Night in Olympia event held on Feb. 21.
