White Salmon student helps Mosbrucker around the House

Jacob Lockman, a student at Columbia High School, White Salmon, recently served as a page in the Washington State House of Representatives. He was sponsored by Rep. Gina Mosbrucker, R-Goldendale.

Pages are responsible for delivering messages and documents to state lawmakers in their offices, committee meetings and the House chamber. They also attend Legislative Page School during the day.

To become a page, applicants must have a legislative sponsor, be between the ages of 14 and 16, and obtain written permission from their parents and school. Pages earn $35 per day while serving in the program.

Jacob enjoys running cross country, playing basketball and soccer, and the trumpet and guitar in his band class. He is also a life Scout and working on his Eagle project.

Jacob is the 16-year-old son of Angela Lockman, White Salmon.
