Goldendale teen pages for Rep. Gina Mosbrucker

Samara Shelton, a 15-year-old student from Goldendale, recently served as a legislative page in the Washington State House of Representatives. She was sponsored by Rep. Gina Mosbrucker, R-Goldendale.

Some of Samara's responsibilities included delivering messages and documents to state lawmakers on the House floor, in committee meetings, and in their offices. She also attended Legislative Page School.

To become a page in the House of Representatives, a student must have permission from a parent or guardian and school, be sponsored by a member of the House of Representatives, and be between 14 and 16 years old.

Samara enjoys reading. She is a student in the online Northwest AllPrep School, which is based in Vancouver, Washington, and contracted with the Toppenish School District to serve grades three through 12th grade.
