White Salmon teen helps around the House of Representatives

Dasher Evans, a 14-year-old student at Trout Lake School, recently served as a page in the state House of Representatives. He was sponsored by Rep. Gina Mosbrucker, R-Goldendale.

Dasher's responsibilities included delivering messages and documents to state lawmakers in their offices, committee meetings and the House chamber, and attending Legislative Page School. Pages earn $35 per day while serving in the program.

β€œIt was wonderful to have Dasher here. We appreciate his work and participation in the page program,” said Mosbrucker.

To serve as a page for the Washington State House of Representatives, a student must:

  • have permission from a parent or guardian;
  • have permission from his or her current school in the current year;
